hurth trans. had new 25 universal installed about 5 years ago. 1st ZF5 that came with engine lasted 125 hrs. Put in & paid for a new ZF10. lasted 125 hrs. also. Hurth installed another ZF10 at their expense & so far I have about 150 hrs.on it & still not slipping. Praying for good luck...

reply we haul out at Casa Rio in Nov. also. may run into each other. Chuck mentioned to us that he replaced another boat with a Zf10.

reply thanks, I give them a try. seems zf hurtz tries to stay hidden. guess if they made better trans. they could come out in the open. i never got such a run around.

I have a 32-300 in which I replaced the engine 300 hrs. ago. After only 150 hrs. the trans. failed. It was replaced with a new one that Engines One said was larger & better. They did not pay anything saying it was out or gaurantee by a few months. WELL the new one is now slipping after only...
