Assuming it is the same as on an E-34, I use a 14" piece of #6 insulated solid copper wire that I poke into the drain hole at the bow to clear out the debris. There is a length of rigid tube glassed to the thru hull that the flexible hose is clamped over. This is where the garbage collects, a few inches up from the thru hull. It usually takes several applications to remove all of it, but I am in an area where I get a lot of stuff in my anchor locker (zebra mussel shells, plants, etc). It can be done either from the dock or a dinghy.
Any other stiff wire (coat hanger) would work as well, but I use the same piece of wire for getting to difficult electrical connections such as applying 12 volts to the solenoid to start the engine. It's a handy addition to my on board tool box.
