    I HATE My Traveler E-25

Yes, true but...... Thanks Steve, you are right, a replacement is best. Even the ones at West Marine were a little bit more then I want to spend right now. Also, all the ones there have straight rails and mine is slightly curved. I was told at the WM store that you get get them curved to your...

    I HATE My Traveler E-25

Looking for a used replacement traveler for my 1976 E-25. The original one has those spring loaded buttons that keep the stops in place, and you can't move them while the sail is loaded.

    kenyon alcohol stove.

Kenyon Alcohol Stove Hi The stove that was in my 1976 E-25 was too far gone for me to fix, and I didn't want to modify the boat for a new stove - so I had it rebuilt. See: http://www.ess-kayyards.com/catalog/homestrand.html They did a real nice job - it's just like new. (A new - old...

Where to put the compass on E-25

A friend just gave me a brand new Ritchie B-51 Bracket Mount Compass. Cockpit space is limited on the E-25, I'm thinking of a temporary mounting scheme so I don't have to leave it out all the time. Any (smaller) Ericson owners with ideas? Pictures?

How Much Water Do I Have?

Thanks for the great ideas! The stud finder didn't work - maybe the plastic is too thick. When I put the stud finder against the tank wall and pushed the button, the light never went out. (I had tested it had home first, w/fresh battery) The Flashlight idea didn't work, I couldn't see the...

How Much Water Do I Have?

The water tank in my E-25 isn't clear enough to see how much is in it. Anybody have a way to check the water level? Or do I just wait until it runs out and then fill it? (Don't worry, I'm not planning any ocean crossings.)

    E25 Porta Pottie Installation

I had the same issue When I removed and disposed of the old sea toilet in my 1977 E-25, that triangular shelf is NOT big enough to mount the portapotty. I cut a piece of 3/4 inch plywood that covered the triangular shelf and extended a few inches towards the door of the head. The front edge...

    Companionway Sliding Hatch

Nope. I'm talking about the hatch on top that slides fore and aft. It's not flat - has curves.

    Companionway Sliding Hatch

My E-25 is 32 years old, although I've only had her for a year and a half. The teak hatch has deteriorated - and definitely needs replacement.:esad: I talked to a local woodworker, a real craftsman, and he can certainly make me a new one. He says he should be able to keep the price below...

    Snubbers - What's the story?

I just got a new slip for my E-25, moving from the "Upper" harbor in Santa Cruz to the "Lower" harbor. For those of you not familiar with Santa Cruz, that means two things: No more going under the bridge (YES!) and being subjected to a bit more surge. I've never used snubbers on dock lines...

    E-25 Water Storage Tank Capacity

I have a 1976 E-25. Anyone know how many gallons the water storage tank holds?

    Suggestions for Water Tank additive?

I don't use the sink in my E-25 very much, just for rinsing out glasses or emptied beer bottles, water for hand washing, etc. What can I add to the tank to keep the water fresh?

    Water in E25 bilge

I agree My E-25 is a fixed keel, and the bilges at the head and mid floor all are one with the bilge over the keel.

Bilges Shouldbe connected Jerry I have an E-25 - you must have something clogged. I'll try to look underneath with a flash light.

    valves under the sink

E-25 Galley Drains My E-25 (1976) has the icebox drain into the bilge, but the sink goes through a valve and out through the hull, I imagine yours is the same it's just hard to find. By the way, the water is so cold here in beautiful Monterey Bay that even in summer things in the icebox stay...
