When i inspected my shifter cable on my 70Ericson29 i noticed that a metal bracket holding the end of the cable in place and mounted to the bulkhead separating the battery compartment from the engine was badly corroded and literally falling apart. I put it on the repair list for the mechanic but it didn't get done and now the bracket is lost. Anyone have any idea what this part is called and how to source one? It holds the outside of the cable assembly in place so the shifter cable wire can move the shifter arm forward and back without the entire cable assembly moving....clear as mud? If you have one of these still installed on your Ericson and can get me dimensions i can get one fabricated if need be. Thanks in advance.
