For us common folks who live off 10+, 20+ years old electronics and are too frugal to replace with new, make a personal visit to your local marine electronic store if they have what you are looking for in the back room.

I had good experience with the Seacoast Marine Electronics in Oriental, NC (just a satisfied customer). They specializes in designing and installing marine electronics for rich boaters who want the latest toys. My Raymarine autohelm's control head shuts down intermittently. The owner bench tested a used control head removed from a client's boat and it solved my problem. The price was similar to eBay but I had confidence that it was bench tested and can return if the problem wasn't the control head.

Stores like that often don't list used equipments on the internet, that is not their income source.
