I am planning to replace the 5/8" bildge pump hoses and the 1-1/4" scupper hoses on my E35. What type of hoses should I use?

Check your West Marine catalog and get confused. To many choices, (I love that store.) The truth is any hose will do for your bilge pumb. Cut a piece off an old garden hose and call it done or do it right with the marine grade black engine hose. I like Vetus engine exhaust hose for your 1 1/4" scupper. (It seems more flexible.) I don't like the spa-type white hoses because they seem stiff and won't compress under the screw-clamps. I use non-adhesive silicone and two clamps on fittings below the waterline. The best advise about changing hoses is "just do it." You'd be suprised how many boats sink at the dock because of a broken little hose that worked just fine for 25 yrs. (See picture in past post.)
