    Ericson 27 capacity

    I have an E27 and I think 4 is the comfortable and practicle max. more is possible but the will be strewn about and or in the cabin. :cool:

    reef for life :rolleyes:I have gotten very good at reeffing. Often I start with one In If it looks reefy time. I am also putting my 110 on and taking my 130 off this time of year. It is good to know ones limits.:egrin:

    love the E27 welcome, this is a great site. learn to search through the arcives, I have learned so much from the excellent folks here, you can go to face book and check out Nigel Barron, he races his 27 and its preety tricked out. He knows a great deal.

    Eeeeeee gad I have an E27 I too am more than glad I do not have to preform Bat Man like actions to get out to go sailing, I hve a hard enough time when the wind gets above 15kts. I am a novice, O well.

    It was a back pressure issue. we cleaned out the exhust, that simple really. Ho yeah new fuel filter. Duh

    well thanx every body, after all my hysteria, It turns out I over reacted like usuall to a problem. I had someone with real knowledge come out. All is well. A little tweeking and things are fine in wonderland again

    I have a 1978 E27, So my engine is getting OLD. It is in need of coastly repair. is it possible to pull the yanmar 1 lunger and use an out board. Or sell the boat. Thoughts please thanx Nic

    Pre-survey boat inspection poll

    Seems to me this could soon be as much as a survey, if travel is involved. locally it seems a great idea. The bigger the boat The better the idea, more cost effective. for small boats like mine E27 the survey was $500. priceing is the key.

    Yeah the for aft line is what we use. work great. some folks like the single line smack dab in the middle, that works amazingly well also

    sailor cats Our cat Zoe is a grreat sailor. we have an enclosed catbox,By the way we have an E27, on some out door carpet in the Quarter Bert, she does great, and we took her on our 10 day sail to the ericson ron day vue in portownsend she was no prob.

    Mob Jibing in heavy seas can be a hairy experince, soI am told. My brother is an amazing sailor, coast guard and a lot of experience. He said Jibing is great in calm, even moderate sea. In heavy sea tacking is safer and gives more contol of the boat. I practice both. Nic
