Hey Guys, was just reading a thread on a CB trunk leak and thought I'd post my solution. It's a rubber boot that folds in and out on it's self as the cable runs through the trunk. I've been running it for a few months now and it works awesome. It's just a piece of pond liner, glued together...
I used a piece of pond liner, cut it into a cone and zip tied it to the CB trunk at one and to the bottom of the block at the other end. She's been tight as a drum ever since. I have a drawing which I will upload to the files section if I can.
*ETA* I can't upload to the files section so I'll...
I'm just wondering if anyone has rerigged the centreboard line so that it comes out on the back of the mast compression post? I'm thinking that's what I would like to do and I'm just wondering what peoples opinions might be on the subject? The previous owners of my boat broke the sheave off...
Pretty sure they're all Kenyon parts. I called Rig Rite today and they said they are "low on stock" for the part I need and also couldn't give me a price. They said they were going to call me back so hopefully I hear from them. Looks like I need their K-1685A. If they don't get back to me I...
Ugh, it never ends. Looks like I'm missing the goosneck slide for the mast too and the gooseneck is all bent up. Maybe a local shop might have something kicking around.
I'm also a CAD designer and I can model parts for free (to help the community out) if you can mail them to me. I might model some stuff for my boat too (E23 mkII) if people would find that useful.
Cheers,
OK, these are pretty much my thoughts exactly. The smaller spreaders may not be long enough for my needs anyway so, for an extra $20 per side, I may have to go with the larger spreaders which would be fine as they are closer in size to the originals. They still use the same mounting brackets...
Well he didn't mention anything about being able to reuse my spreaders and whoever I talked to on the phone wasn't very helpful. Your 27 is also 2 steps up from my 23, all of the same gear was used on the 23, 25 & 27 and the Dwyer stuff looks as good or better than the stock gear.
In any case...
Hey Guys,
So I'm having registration problems with the trailer I bought (came with my E23). Due to some idiotic privacy laws I'm unable to figure out in who's name my trailer was previously registered. I could get this done if I had a VIN number but I can't find one anywhere on the trailer...
The Dwyer spreaders aren't bad for price so I could buy the whole setup but I was hoping to avoid it.
Really? They don't look much different from the stock Ericson spreaders and bases so I'm not sure why you would say they're only good for a dinghy.
The Ballanger setup is WAY more expensive...
That looks good. The Dwyer bases look good and are reasonably priced. My stock spreaders looks good so I'm hoping the fittings will work with them. You welded them on though, eh? It looks like they have between 4 and 6 bolt holes (depending on model) so I was thinking I could just bolt em...
