%##^* Jabsco electronic valve failed again !

solinoid valve Sven I bought 3 valves that looked just like those yesterday for a product I'm working on. They came from a plumbing supply that specizes in sprinkling and were about $13 each - very cheap fot a liquid solinoid. If it's easy to get at I'd buy a few spares, but if it is hard to...

    Interior Wood Finish

just kidding I wish I could get her to do it. I am thinking it would be a rewarding project to try to get a great finish on the interior this winter when I don't feel too much like working outside. It sounds like you are very knowledgeable on getting a nice finish. Do you have any interior...

Battery cables ... buy or buy tool to make ?

buy a crimper I bought one of the units where you put the wire and socket into it and then hit it with a hammer to make the crimp. I have used it many times over the years and it allows me to use quality ends. It's a Lenco anvil style. Indestructable and small to pack in the boat.

    ~15' 6" long 4" diameter spinnaker pole - suggestions ?

wish you were closer Hi Sven I would buy it from you but the shipping would be difficult and expensive to Vancouver BC. On another note - now that you have the new rudder what do you think of the change in the way your boat steers. I'm hoping it's made it easier to back up. Shamwari e-39

    Straightening a slightly bent wheel

I did mine by the direct approach My wheel was bent when I tried to install the wheel autopilot so I rotated it to find the spot where it was bent the most and smacked it with the heel of my hand with increasing force until it started to move. I wasn't overly violent and it was straightened in...

    Non-skid deck

Kiwigrip I put it on my e-39 3 years age and I would swear by it. It lasts well and where I had a stain I just added another layer and it looks like new. One thing to be careful about is that you can make the texture as aggressive as you want by the roller technique and if you really want non...

    e-39 whisker pole

used pole I saw one in a Bellingham consignment store and that is the reason I asked. It's 17 ft long and I thought it looked huge but I quess it is about right. It has to be a 4"D aluminum tube and has a long tapered cylindrical end. I'll go and look at it again and get it if it is in good...

    e-39 whisker pole

Can anyone tell me how to figure out the size of whisker pole I would need on my e-39. I was in a marine consignment store today and they have some at good prices, but I'm not sure what I need. I have a 110 and a 150 . thanks John

Boat capsizes in San Diego, killing two and injuring seven.

Boater's Liscence Sven We have that in British Columbia and they are starting it in Washinton as well. It's very easy to pass the test - my son passed it and only studied the manual on the way to the test - and he is a reluctant boater - but that's another story. I get the feeling that the...

    Need Help Making a Decision

I have to agree I have decided to keep the e-39 and upgrade the parts that need it to go offshore - and it feels like a weight off my chest to finally quit waffling back and forth. Guy - I know you think I should just get going and I would allready be gone but I have to wait for my wife to...
