Looking for a whisker pole for my E29

Anyone have a used one for sale? Have read that whisker pole should telescope out to a length equal to the foot of the jib which in my boat is 18'9". This seems a long to me so would appreciate any advice on the subject. Thanks!

Thanks Doug for your input, Glyn, from CA, gave me a lead on a foundry and toddrsd gave me the lead on the Long Beach facility. Spoke with Dan yesterday and sent him a sketch but need a photo and dimensions....a friend has my tiller assembly. So, thanks very much for your help! Just a...

E27 & 29 Tiller Fork: Anyone know where I could get a new or reconditioned one?

Glyn, Thank you so much for such a prompt response to that far-out request of mine! I'll try Pete if am unable to locate one from some other source. When I crewed the company plane, landing at SMO we used to stay at the hotel at Marina del Ray 10 years ago or so. All I remember is masts as...

E27 & 29 Tiller Fork: Anyone know where I could get a new or reconditioned one?

My brass Tiller Fork is cracked where indicated. There are set screws in the aft facing bottoms of each fork which has further weakened the structure. Suspect these set screws were added by someone in the murky past but not sure. I could have the tiller fork brazed but would prefer to find a...

Problem solved in 14 hours! Hi again Pat, Called Garhauer and learned their GAH 3040US genoa cars will fit my Ericson 29 and they are rated at a whopping SWL of 2800 lbs! The Schaefer ones were only 1750. I ordered two pronto! Thanks again for the tip. Working directly with Garhauer made...

Genoa Cars for 1973 E29: any ideas on replacements?

Hi SurabyaKid, I'm amazed that things happen so fast in this world! I have a friend with Garhauer low lead genoa cars on his Bristol and ordered two of them from Mauripro; however, to my disappointment they would not slide onto my track. They were 1" cars but there was insufficient clearance...

Genoa Cars for 1973 E29: any ideas on replacements?

Schaefer made the 1" track Genoa Cars on my E29. I would like to buy some extras for backups; however, Schaefer no longer makes the model I have. The old ones look identical to the new Schaefer cars designed for 1 1/4" track. I called Schaefer thinking they may have a few old ones lying...

Ericson 27 - remove, clean and re-bed portlights

Learking Hi, I'm in the process of removing and replacing all my E29 portlights. The plan is to regasket and reseal the large salon windows and replace the other 4 smaller portlights. I'm not sure how much in common your 27 has with the 29 but from what I've read there is quite a bit...

    E29 Small window replacement

Has anyone replaced the original portlights on an E29 with new units? I pulled out the small salon portlight (14"x6") yesterday. So far I've located two vendors: Lewmar and New Found Metals. Both companies make a window that is close in size to the original and screened. I prefer an openable...
