My old main has A014 slugs and they are very loose in the track. I might be getting a new main and I’m curious to know what others may be using.

I'm trying to decide what to use when bedding my handrails and some other deck fittings. The white Trimmable-Butyl-Tape that Sailrite sells is one possibility. http://www.sailrite.com/Trimmable-Butyl-Tape-3-4-Bedding-Deck-Hardware-Sealant? Does anybody have experience with this product?

It's my understanding that the mounting surfaces needed to be sealed to prevent the Butyl from drying out.

If your current genoa still has some life in it I think I would pay to have the luff tape installed. I did my own conversion following the instructions of Sailrite... Many people wouldn't approve of the job but we were very happy to be finished with hanked on sails.

When I replaced the fuel tank in my E27 it was already its second tank. It was aluminum and the bottom was wasted out of it. I decided to go with a smaller plastic tank that has suited us just fine. I'm curious, what is the price difference between aluminum and stainless steel?

I took a look at my head yesterday.... The thru-hulls for my head are mounted on angled side. Is there any access to the valves through the V-birth locker?

Try a basin wrench... I believe that a basin wrench would have been helpful. I have an E27 and I don't recall having any special issues when I changed out my thru hull fittings.
