My a4 manifold has the water jacket plugged solid. A replacement is almost $500 at Moyers. Does anyone have suggestions for cleaning it out? As always thanks in advance, Edd
many of the early 35-2s did not come with a black water tank. It was not law until 1974. mine has the battery bank in the setae behind the bulkhead, and the holding tank under the port side setae. I have alsi heard of them being put under the port side of the v birth.

Don't lose sleep. Just have them closely inspect it (and everything else below the water line) before they cast off the slings. It will not sink in the slings, just take on water so Sleep! Edd
I have been following S/V Seeker for about a year and love it! For an Oaky redneck he is doing a great job at making me say "damn I could never do that" and making me feel guilty about not finishing all those little boat projects. Edd
also check with your home owners insurance. The same coverage as boat US was about half when added by State Farm to my house insurance and they were not near the hassle. Boat US is VERY reluctant to take an older (like 10 years is old to them) boat and will want it beyond perfect to even...
I would put money on a 35-2. an anchor is cheep, but an engine will cost at least 3 times what that boat should sell for. You should be able to pick that boat up for 1, 2 grand tops even if all else is perfect on it. A new Beta diesel will set you back about 10 grand and a couple more if you...
On my 35-2 the galley is on the other side but otherwise has that same short bulkhead arangement. I put a 2x2 post in from the top of the bulkhead to the cabin top. It worked out that a standard teak paper towel rack then fit perfectly from the post to the side wall below the window. The top of...
I think you missed on the "no comparison" thing... Nothing compares to the 35-2! The 35-3 and 34-10 are a lot closer in hull shape. The 35-2 was built to exploit a specific set of racing rules and did so so well that the rules got re writen. It 's stated stats are corect, but only when at the...
Another thing to look at... A diesel will also belch white smoke if running lean. the injection pump is usually gear driven and precisely aligned with a dial gauge that reads in the thousandths of an inch. there Is a procedure of rotating the engine from TDC back to the lobe bottom in the pump...
I am not familiar with that part or why it would be there, however it looks to be made from common plumbing parts. you should be able to reproduce it with a trip to the local hardware store. The small port would probably take some drilling and tapping. Or it may be that soldering it up from...
