I replaced mine a few years ago with the newer style. I do not believe they can be reversed. Also beefed up the mounting w a piece of G10, and made it so that hopefully the pumps can be easily removed if needed.

My boat hauler always places my boat with bow slightly higher than stern. He said you dont want the bow low. I wonder if you can jack the front of the trailer up enough to get the bow up once at your winter storage.

The 38 has a faster rating than the 33 but our 33 usually beats the 38 that comes out.

I like the look of oil. I usually clean the wood with a vinegar water mixture solution then apply a coat of oil annually. The vinegar really makes boat fresh all season too.
