Synthetic oil in A-4
Synthetic oil is NOT recommend for the A-4 as the Paragon reversing gear is bathed in crankcase oil and will slip. Just a straight SAE 30W detergent is all you need, and change as recommended. Depending where you sail some use a multi weight like a 10W-40W diesel engine oil, thicker oil does boost oil pressure a bit if your little beastie is a bit tired.
