Steering cable replacement

More than a year ago, someone posted a detailed note on how he replaced the Edson steering cables. It might have been Tom Metzger or Loren Beach, and could have been for an E34. Does anyone remember this note? I haven't been able to find it with a search.

Thanks for any hints on where this treasure might be buried.

Here is one thread, but it focused more on the turning sheaves.

I put "bushing" into the search engine. You might try something related like "cable."

Thanks, Loren -- that's a very helpful link to your post about the sheaves. I'll have to examine those, too. I think the note that I'm looking for was specifically on replacing the cables.
