Stability Curve

I know they didn't really do this back then, but has anyone worked out the stability curves and righting angles for the various Ericson models?

I understand that there was a big change in the 80's.

Thanks

This might help

Not sure about a big change in the 80's-new designs were introduced, but these things were not related issues(stability and RM)..

For any boats which were issued either IOR or MORC certificates, you can obtain pretty good info-RM is listed as a factor, as are SA/Displ, and some other good indicators. US Sailing should have IOR certs for boats like the 27, 29, 32-2, 35-2, 37, 39 and 46. There were also 25's, 27's, and 29's measured for MORC, and you could dig up some certificates for for those models. Note: MORC was a handicap rule for boats 30' LOA and under. Thus all MORC boats were under 30'. IOR was used for all sizes of offshore capable boats, so you may find IOR certificates for many models of E-boats.

Anyway, tat is how you would find this info..

Good luck,
S
