Spent many hours of hard labor this past weekend shining the sheer stripe. The previous owner told me he used Poli-glo each season. This is some type of polymer that ends up clouding up, leaving the stripe looking horrible. I really didn't want to use the stuff, so held off doing anything. This past weekend I decided to try my 1000 grit and 2000 grit sandpaper, lightly (carefully) hand sanding the stripe. Then using a polishing wax to finish things up. Turned out pretty good. I am hoping if I am diligent with waxing I can keep it nice.
