I would have liked to say howdy, but it was a 38 that sailed across my bow headed for Emeryville? We waived, I tried to hail them but got no response, hmmmm

Hi Jay,
It wasn't us you saw, but we sailed under the Gate about 11:30 AM on Saturday the 22nd. Our first time here. What an experience entering the bay after a few weeks on the outside. Made me grin to see so many sailors enjoying so much wind! We'll be in Sausalito for a few days before continuing south.
Incidentally, there is another nice-looking E38 here at Schoonmaker Point with WN registration but no visible name or hailing port. Looks to be a late 80s model like ours.
