Monday after the 2021 Queen's Cup

Most everyone knows about the Chicago Mac Race, but my club has hosted another great annual race on Lake Michigan called the Queen's Cup for many many years. It is a Friday night race across the lake that has everything from Ericsons to TP52s to multihulls racing East. A lot of the Mac boats use it as their 'warm up' event...

In PHRF Division 9 a forum member, Old Fauser, and the boat that he has been very involved with scored a flag! Wild Aces finished in third, behind two very well sailed LMPHRF hitters. The corrected time between the winner Odyssey, a Tartan 34 that has won, placed and showed overall in the Mac Race, and Wild Aces was only 6 minutes and 1 second after a 67.5 nautical mile race!

Another Ericson 34T named Sirocco won the jib and main Cruising Class!

GREAT JOB ART!!!

Kudos to all participants for putting up with the wildly variable weather forecasts and ultimately unfavorable weather as well! Very dense fog and calms to storms and squalls.
The view from McKinley Marina Milwaukee at the delayed starting time:

There's a dense mooring field just off the end of that dock and then a large breakwater with mature trees. And coincidentally Odyssey's (empty) slip is in this picture.
