Leaking around the mast

My Ericson 32 leaks severely around the mast. The mast is keel stepped but I don't think the leak is due to that (I installed Spartite a couple of years ago). I am wondering if it might be the hatch and then migrating forward. Any ideas?

Deck Mast Collar

If your 32 is set up like our 35-3 and the 38's, unscrew and drop the decorative collar on the ceiling around the mast and feel around under there. Our boat and a friends 38 both needed to have the mast collar (where your blocks are attached to) rebedded. You should be able to do it without removing the mast if it needs it.

I had leakage similar to yours after i installed a new mast boot; I failed to caulk: especially behind the vang base plate; water was running down the track and behind the plate. Sealed it up and it's been fine since.
