Keepin' out of the hot sun!

I have a 1987 26' III. It doesn't have a dodger, bimini, or awning. What have other folks done to create protection on this model Ericson?

Noting that the boom sits fairly low, I'm wondering if this has presented challenges in installing protection.

Here is a picture of my 1985 E-26 mk III with my dodger. Sorry its a bit over exposed.

now that I have had the dodger I cant imagine not having it! wind, spray, sun, it takes care of them all. The only change I would make would be to have it extend about eight inches further aft for a bit more coverage.
