Not a big deal, but I dismiss the intro images when I log in, can we set a cookie to remember that choice?

Yes. Either clear your cache or put a shortcut in the top ribbon of your browser to the page you want to open to.

Thanks - I was having some sort of brain malfunction. 
Also, see the thread on the construction of the 'Front Page'.
Also - when you login, check the "Stay Logged In" box to write the login cookie to your computer - then you won't have to key it in after hitting the shortcut that everyone has mentioned already...
Front page is done (more or less).
