I have a 1987 E34 with the Universal M25XP engine.
These used gearboxes from my boat might interest someone mechanically adept that could overhaul them. The ratio is 2.05:1
History on the gearboxes
The newer one has less than 150 hours on it. It was purchased new from MMI in Seattle. It developed a slight fluid leak, suspected from the rear seal on the output side but the fluid is good and no metal particles in it. Other than that it worked fine. I was having major engine work done last year and decided to upgrade to a beefier ZF10M unit.
The older, original unit, has been refurbished once and needs another overhaul.
I'll consider any reasonable offers for these. Mike Paterson
