Hi,
Despite being ever so careful, I bumped the varnish can against the shrouds and a small amount spilled onto the non-skid gelcoat (about 6" x 6" section). I wiped it up quickly with a rag, then washed the area with some acetone I had on hand and then with water to rinse the acetone. Although it's almost gone, I can see a slight yellow discoloration in the non-skid gelcoat where the varnish spilled.
Does anyone have any ideas for getting rid of the yellow discoloration--it's been a few days since this happened, so it has dried and maybe some of the varnish might even have been absorbed by the older gelcoat.
Thanks for any advice.
Frank
