I'm thinking about rigging a shower in the head. Anyone have a picture or diagram of the shower set up??

Cold Shower ?

The 74' E35-II SetUp

1. Hand shower hose connected to faucet (like RV exterior shower)
with wall hook.Available at your local Hardware Store
2. Mini sump with bilge pump in galley nook locker
(near head storage tank). Sump connected to shower drain
and pumped overboard at thru-hull under sink (above water line!)
Pump provided with manual on switch and automatic switch at
bilge pump. As you are in a lake, this discharge is not acceptable
to local authorities and will need to go to grey water storage tank.
3. Hot water via electric hot water heater/exchanger.
Mine has an instantaneous gas hot water heater-no tank.
4. Do not drain shower in to bilge for your main bilge pump to pick up
I have seen this setup. Your bilge is not a sewer under the floorboards
to drain your ice box or anything else in to. The introduction of food
and microbes will eventually cause damage to your boat and stink
you out

The unfortunate thing is that the Head is finished in mahogany and teak.
The sump is fiberglass and only comes up the walls a foot or so.
Before I start using this rig seriously, I will line the walls with fberglass
shower liner. I have even seen complete tile jobs in the Head on this boat.
I have also been warned about the temptation to hook up your water
system to the dock pressure. Good way to fill up your boat with water
when the check valve fails :boohoo:

Happy Plumbing :egrin: /) /)
