Hi everyone. I'm listing a Doyle Genoa sail that I purchased for my Ericson 38-200 that does not fit my boat. The previous owner stated that this sail was for an Ericson 38, and that it came from an Ericson 38, but there is not much way it would have fit. Perhaps it's from a 35 or 34, but certainly not a 38...
Anyway, here are the details:
Doyle, 6oz dacron (very tight - lightly used fabric) Reportedly a 2000 sail. Measurements that I took this morning are: Luff - 44'7", Leech - 42'10", Foot - 23' Sail has foot and leech lines, and 3 sets of telltails on port and starboard. There is a white UV dacron suncover on the port side. The sail fits a #6 foil.
The sail is really in great condition with a few small stains that I'm certain would wash out. The fabric is tight and crisp, and this sail has many many years of sailing left in it. There are absolutely no holes, tears, rips or patches. I could find no loose stitching anywhere. I'm very disapointed that I wout be able to use it.
Anyway, I have $695.00 into the sail which is exactly what I want out of it plus any shipping. I purchased it a few months back from an individual who bought it for his E-38 and never used it. (It would not have fit anyway) The shipping box is 30L x 23W x 21H and is 58 lbs. Sail would ship UPS from zip code 06423.
