I noticed that an area of the building I work in has a "curtain" made of scores of lengths of double-braid line (looks like 5/8" Samson "gold-n-braid" anchor line), each hanging from a neat eye splice at the ceiling. probably 80 pieces in all, and each floor in the building has 2 areas divided off like this.
Probably 800 splices total.
I used to charge 30 bucks for a simple eye-splice in new line. Not sure what it costs now, but... ignoring the cost of the line itself, 800 splices times even a small amount of money makes these pretty expensive curtains...
