I was looking around the web for a way to compare these with today's winch nomenclature. Nowadays winches are spec'd out with the final power ratio, with a 10" handle. (Or at least that's what the ads say and they never mention friction loses.)
I saved the chart portion as a pdf. (The site info is dated 1999, so there may be newer models that could be inserted if it were reformatted.)
There are many hundreds of Ericsons from the 70's and 80's with Barients and probably some Barlows as well.
Whether your existing winches are just right or too small, it's handy to know this stuff when shopping for a replacement some day.
