Advice for new E35 II owner

My wife and I will soon be new owners of a 1979 Ericson 35 II (awaiting sea trial, survey). I have a few questions.

1. I want to replace all portlights with opening ports. There has been some discussion on the four large saloon ports, but little on the six smaller ports. Any recommendations to manufacturer? Any concensus regarding the large portlights?

2. Some of the E35 -II have the vinyl foam, backed headliner. Ours does and some day I would like to get rid of it. Has anyone done that?

3. The boat currently does not have a stove/oven. I imagine we want to put in propane. Any suggestiongs are where to install a propane tank locker.

Appreciate the advice.

Thanks,

Jason

How about CNG instead of propane? If you're near an urban area and don't have plans for extended cruising, it can be a much safer option.

Propane Locker fits in the Starboard Cockpit Locker. Look at the (2)
10lb/2.5GA setup fromTrident (www.tridentmarine.com).
Propane is readily available Worldwide and parts are more accessable.
A well designed airtight locker, venting and a propane sensor are what you need for a SAFE propane system.
