25+ Relocating Main Traveler

Anyone out there have experience with relocating the mainsail traveler on the Ericson 25+ from in front of the companionway to a position on top of the cabin? I am looking for recommendations on a new traveler system (make & model), traveler location, and relocation of tackle on the boom (I assume this is necessary to redistribute the loading on the boom). If anyone has had success doing this and has pictures they are willing to share it would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 27. Years ago I removed the OEM traveler and went with a Harken, so I could use the traveler under load. No regrets. Luckily, I could use the original mounts. There are no hangups on mid-boom sheeting that I can see. Getting the traveler out of the way of traffic will be a relief. Harken is as good as it gets.
