We are using "Reggie" less and less so it might be time to find her a new caretaker. Reggie is a simple boat without a lot of systems. She has been super reliable. Universal 18 diesel runs great. Tiller instead of a wheel. 4 self tailing winches. Rigged for Spinnaker. Sails in good shape...
No helicopter, but could probably arrange a ride in a Cessna 140, Piper Cub or if you want to fly upside down to get even closer, Steen Skybolt.
Always trying to help

And here are two sailing on Reggie, the one from the outside is courtesy of Jeff Asbury. The other one is last Monday sailing outside of Los Angeles Harbor with my eldest daughter Jessica.
Hi Jeff
If you use all new copper washers you will not have to anneal them. They get hard after use, so you can heat them to soften them again. Just buy new ones and put them in. If you want help, let me know and I will swing down and give you a hand.
Good luck
Greg
Al Larsons is $8.00 a foot for slips and $7.00 for moorings. Closest marina to Angels Gate. No social life or restaurants close. It is on Terminal Island between Al Larsons ship yard and the Federal prison. We really like keeping the boat there and enjoy the other boat owners. Bathrooms are...
Different boat, same placement of the wheel. The wheel that close to the dodger would be great working your way to weather on a cold, blustery day.

Not nearly as nice as your pictures. It was a nice boat though. Almost gave me a case of 9 footitis. The broker mentioned that every Ericson owner that came aboard loved the Ericsons they owned. I think he was a little sick of us.:egrin:

Is anyone planning on going to this show? I am going to try for Sunday. I used to really enjoy the old Sail only show in Long Beach from years ago. The West Wight Potter group is how I found about it.

I noticed something similiar when we bought our 30+ 7 years ago. The fiberglass in those areas was just a bit sticky. I have not checked it since. We have had zero issues with Regulus since the purchase. I am not sure why it would happen.
Hope this helps

Always have the boat hauled and surveyed. Later you will still find all kinds of stuff that will convince you the surveyor was blind, but at least the major stuff will be covered. You may also find a couple of items that you can negotiate the price down enough to cover the cost of the survey...
