I am pretty sure the Atomic 4 engine is seized. As we could not get it to turn over with a hand crank. I am planning on selling it as is. The new owner can either slap on a outboard or pull the engine and get a rebuilt Atomic 4 from www.moyermarine.com. So given the engine is not working...
We are having twins and will be selling our Ericson 27' 1977 which is located in the water in Redondo Beach California. We would like to sell the boat but are not sure the current value. We have realistic expectations and want to sell the boat this summer.
What do you think is a good...
Do you know where I can purchase replacement white plastic bezels that cover the interior lights in the cabin? (See photo below)
Also, I would like to replace the bulbs with LED bulbs. Please let me know which ones work and voltage?
The Catalina Direct bracket looks great. What kind do you have on your other boat that you dislike. I was also considering the Garelick bracket below which is a little cheaper. Both look much nicer than the basic West Marine model which is just under $200...
Group,I have a 1977 Ericson 27 with an inboard Atomic 4 which is not running. I a going to buy an Outboard Motor Bracket for a 8hp 2 stroke outboard. Any Recomendations on a bracket? West Marine has an Aluminum bracket for around $200. Is there a better brand? Should I consider a used bracket...
Thank you for the quick response Todd! February 1977 works for me. I will be sure to check the hull number next time I am down at the boat. Thanks again, John
I am purchasing a 1977 Ericson 27. The hull number is ERY27091M77G1. I am filling out a CA DMV registration form which asks for the 'year built' and 'month built'. Any idea how I can figure this out? If not I am not sure what to put on the form?
Water Puppy Bilge Pump
UPDATE: More info on my bilge pump. It is a Water Puppy Impeller Pump and installed under the seat in the cockpit. I checked the fuse and it looks good.
I think next steps are to check the voltage is running to the pump. If that is okay then I will pull the hoses off...
Thanks for the ideas. I will first try to make sure it isn't clogged up tomorrow. Hopefully that works and if not I will provide additional information.
Thank you for your help and quick response!
John
I recently purchased an E27. I have run the bilge pump about three times by turning the battery switch to on (1,2,or ALL) and then turning on the 10A switch on labeled "Bilge Pump Aft". This was with the 20A Main All turned to on.
Now when I trip the 10A switch it stays on for a few seconds...
