Back ballast hatch? I agree about the hatch. But the Companionway hatch is super solid! Only the underside plywood rotted so I've dug it out and will hopefully be able to repair so it can last another 30 + years. It is very heavy however... Maybe that was a factor with the less sturdy forward...

Hi All, It looks to me like a bimini or tent pole awning system...yes, there are two on the other side....is this original to an E27? I recall in my youth a pole system you could bend that had a shank button. You'd put the button in the large hole and slide the neck/shank down to the small end...

Hi all...coming from a 1963 wooden Star moored in swim-able waters and now owning a E27 at with all that fiberglass opportunity plus living aboard at a marina on the Puget Sound.... Took out the Atomic 4, rusted, half disassembled and missing the carburetor...gas tank was foamed in (yikes) and...

I have one port side in the cockpit of my E27. I have emptied out the PO debris, going to wash off grime and potentially use this hatched storage area. Problem is...my arms are fairly short! the lazarette goes all the way, way down to where I removed the (decrepit) Atomic 4....how do you keep...

Thanks for logo and eBay tips! Appreciate the quick responses and the graphic file! Used a plastic rice paddle to take off letters, first fiberglass boats so extra paranoid about gel coat. Now have to sand down original gel coat letter ghosts to match the more worn gel coat...
