I found this this in one of the drawers recently. It looks like it does something important but I can't for the life of me figure out what.

Snap press?

Hard to tell without a banana for scale or without seeing it in it's entirety but I'll wager a guess that it's for pressing snaps onto fabric.

it's about as big as my hand and those nuts are about 1". McGinnis I think you're right. Thanks guys.

I've been hauling banans on our boats for years. Great for morning smoothies.

We tend to set off on Fridays, eat bacon, drink scotch or rum and even precook meals (for passages). But then again, we sail a boat named after a crazy sailor who donned horns and couldn't sail above a broad reach...:)
