At long last I've managed to get my boat in the water after significant repairs that I will detail elsewhere. I wrestled with a number of continued fixes once I was floating, and decided finally yesterday, that I needed to go for a shake-down day sail to get everything limbered up and remind myself of what works and what doesn't.
I also thought of it as something of a solidarity sail with the Don on his departure. Call it 65% admiration, 25% jealously and 10% concern.
