Wiring for Mast Head Light on E27 1978

Decided to change out the marker light just above the spreaders with an LED… and lost the wire down the interior of the mast.

Yes… salty language followed.

The wires are fed through a very small hole in the ceiling of the cabin… inside corner of the head enclosure.

How do I replace the wire… and get it through this tiny hole in the ceiling??

You could try dropping a small nut tied to a light line from the top and glue one of those powerful little magnets to a small stick or piece of wire that you could fish through the hole to try to capture the nut. It might require two people. I'm guessing this would be pretty difficult and dropping the mast may be required. Good luck with it!

Your challenge is going to be whether wires are bundled together with zip ties, or what other obstructions you will encounter between the entry and exit point of the wire. I would think a fish tape would be your best bet.
