Looking to buy (used or new) a forced air diesel heater for my E 34-2 (1988). I took the original Ardic? out-it was failed. I have 2 newer air lines to the main and aft cabin. I heard the Webasto was great but is so pricey. And weather you need the custom kit form Sure Marine is recommended or the other kit (I do not need the hoses...) from West Marine or others are best. we are in N Puget Sound and cruise year round at times. ....Any recommendations?

The Webasto is reliable and quiet. I got to know them driving big trucks. Once I got the thermostat where I wanted, I never touched it again.
A friend had troubles with his on a 35' Alden, but it was apparently dirty fuel that plagued him.
