Looking for either a new/used main sliding hatch or the name of a quality craftsman who can make one for a reasonable price. The boat is located in Alameda, CA. Thanks.

Companionway Hatch

I just started looking for a refurb/replacement for main companionway hatch cover for our 1976 Ericson 32.

Did you have any luck in finding a replacement?

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for the question. I searched the Web many times but couldn't find a used one. So, I had one made by Svendsen's Boat Works in Alameda, CA. The price was high but they did a great job - it's better and stronger than the original and well worth it. I couldn't afford to have the old hatch fail and flood the boat! Let me know, if you need more details.
