I am editing this link based on a conversation I just had with US Customs. They WILL let you l clear customs on Saturday as one off event. They requested that all boats arrive around the same time so some may have to anchor out for a while until the other boats show up. Also, there should be ~4 or more boats to make it worth their time since this is being done on overtime.
Chas, please work the logistics to see if this is a desirable approach for you folks. It changes your distance from ~50 miles to around 32 so that should be a nice change. If you do not want to pursue this approach, PLEASE let me know since they are doing this in the spirit of helping our event.
