I have no experience with that, but ouch, that could be co$t prohibitive unless you find someone parting out an old engine. Or maybe a good welder could do some magic.

You say erosion, do you mean corrosion? If so, how so? It is freshwater (coolant) cooled and isn't the boat in the freshwater lake?

I have not experienced any issues to date. I just wonder if any owners have. Changing anti-freeze every few years is a good idea so one doesn't let their cooling system Ph get out of balance.

If you do that it should be pretty immune to erosion. :egrin:

It will probably last beyond the life of the engine.

The raw water pump and the heat exchange, because the are in contact with raw water, are a lot more prone to corrosion
