Er... a couple of years ago, I did sail a Hunter with the traveller mounted up above the bimini. And no lines in the cockpit. As a ground state, I was a bit confused, never having sailed a boat of that size before, but I couldn't tell where the traveller was or what the mainsheet was doing at any given point. All of the controls (except the jib sheets) were just unlabeled lines that went through a deck organizer and disappeared.
Maybe someone who knew the boat well would like it, but for a noob it seemed really stupid.
