Transmission fluid level

I changed the transmission fluid in the E35-3 I’m working on. I drained the old fluid by removing the drain plug. I added the prescribed 1.3 pints (615 cc) of new fluid but this puts the level way above the groove on the dipstick. This reading is taken without screwing the dipstick in. A previous thread indicated that the fluid volume stated in the manual is incorrect. Has anyone confirmed this? I understand that overfilling the transmission can be detrimental.

Sorry about that. It’s a universal 5432. The transmission isn’t specified on the literature we have.

Most likely a Hurth but there should be a tag on the trans to verify make & model. Best to take a mirror or phone(for picture) as always in the wrong place :)

According to one site that seemed sorta-believable that engine model came with a Hurth HBW-10 transmission. 32 HP. Impressive!
