Greetings,

My wife and I are planning a 10-12 day cruise from Bellingham, WA up
into the Canadian Gulf Islands. I am looking for any good literature ( cruising
guides) on this majestic Island group. I have Bill Wolferstan's "Cruising guide to the Gulf Islands & a good set of Canadian charts, but wondered if there
were any new work out there that covers this cruising grounds??
Thanks,
Phil Schofield

A suggestion...

I think one of the better cruising guides for the Gulf Islands is written by Peter Vassilopoulos called: Gulf Islands Cruising Guide. It is thorough and gives very useful information. It would be my choice if I were only taking one along.

If this is your first time, enjoy your trip--it's a wonderful, beautiful part of the coast. But watch your charts carefully, and respect the currents in the various passes--Dodd Narrows, Active Pass, Porlier Pass, etc.

The Curve of Time

The Curve of Time a narative of a woman the took her kids there in a power boat in the 1950's. It adds a historical perspective for the trip that we well appreciated.
