Sounding hulls

Hi all, this is my first post so i might be screwing up, but i have a question. Is it possible to sound a hull in winter in the northern lats and have any meaningful results?

Practice with your plastic hammer is good for times when you might want to tap your cored deck, but almost all EY-build boats have solid layup hulls.
