I have an E-35 '72 and want to install a solid Vang. I am told that the Boom must NOT rotate at all as it will destrly the vang.
Has anyone dealt with this? Is there a replacememt goosneck that would work?
Any thoughts or ideas?

I have a 1971 E-35 and have had a Quick Vang on for 12 years. The boom does rotate some but it has not been a problem. The aluminun jaw spread open slightly but with no ill effect. The system has worked this way for many miles including a trans pac.
