Should a lp solenoid ever be hot?

My propane system is working perfectly but the solenoid is quite hot. I found one source that said they "do get hot". Otherwise nothing on the internet that I can find. Help please

Solenoid

Mine does the same thing when it is energized for a period of time.
Remember, this is a relay that requires power to keep the valve open. It is a fail-safe device that will close if the power fails. Wouldn't worry.
For further info I would talk to the guys at Fisheriessupply. Bought my set-up from them last year, (converted from CNG to LPG), and they were VERY helpful with selecting the right equipment.
