Shore power cord help please!

I drug my shore power cord male end in the puget sound yesterday. A little afraid to replug into shore power. What precautions should I observe? Do I need a new cord? First time for everything?

I suspect that this happens once in a while to pretty much every sailor. I would flush the end well with fresh water and then let it dry in the hot sun for a day or three.
Those cord ends are described as sealed, but I always wonder to what standard and to what QC procedure.

No worries, plug it in. Ours has fallen in the water with no ill effects.

would it make sense to rinse it in fresh water; get out any salt that might be imbedded in the grooves.

When this happened to me it made me feel better to spray some contact cleaner in the slots.
