serial number

my newly acquired E38, located in Oxnard, CA has a serial number of ERY38X88M83H. I know what the ery38 is, and that it was manufactured in 83, does anyone have the rest of the information?? I need to get the vessel documented, then pick a Yacht club to join to sail in the Newport-Ensenada Race. I live in Maine and will be shipping the boat back in May. Thanks

Thanks, I guess it means that it is hull number 88 of the 38 series, manufactured in March of 83!

Hull #

It is hull #88, yes. You can go to NOSA.org for info on the Ensenada Race, and I think they are also considered a yacht club for entry purposes-or you can represent your East Coast club.
You also need to contact US Sailing for Sail #'s.
