I had the same problem after a storm back in 2006. New 8" Edson disk, and I decided to change out cables and chain along with the pedestal rebuild. Very nice and rewarding project. I believe I put a writeup on the list here w/ all the parts and measurements. Please let me know if you need anything.

The attachment on my last post showed the wheel bore: 3.484. Edson might like their drawing #: S-86-1977 from the same attachment.

BTW, I looked at my old post from a while back. Nothing to add, the info was correct. 2 years back in service and everything is still fine, and the scrapes and scratches from working in the 'aft stateroom' have finally closed up...
