Roller Furling head sail

I have an Ericson 25 which I purchased in 1985. The roller furling system has no manufacturer logo. Is anyone familar with the furling system used on the Ericson [manufactured 1974]. I would like to know how I might be able to do some maintenance on it as it appears to be rubbing metal on metal and thwarting easy use.

Ant help would be appreciated.

Jim,
As Loren mentioned above, the pics are still not opening. The photo attachment link in his post is very helpful--I have been able to post photos in the past even though I sometimes have trouble with technical stuff, so I would encourage you to try that process.
Once we see photos, I'm sure that someone will be able to give you some useful feedback.
